About HPV Health
HPV Health is a practice for complementary medicine specializing in the treatment of HPV and abnormal cells, gut microbiome, impaired immune system function, and vitamin and mineral deficiencies.
Our mission
At HPV Health, we believe the best care occurs when conventional and complementary medicine work together. Our practice is specifically focused on women with HPV and abnormal cells who want to do more than just wait and see.
We offer an integrated approach: alongside conventional diagnostics and treatment, we look at nutrition, supplements, lifestyle, genetics, and emotional well-being. Our goal is to provide you with the tools to actively contribute to your own recovery.
Jose van Ditmarsch, General Practitioner (GP)
Jose van Ditmarsch is a general practitioner (GP) with years of experience in both conventional and complementary medicine. Her practice focuses primarily on a holistic approach, incorporating not only the physical but also the emotional, mental, spiritual, and social needs of the person.
Personal motivation
Jose's motivation to specialize in HPV stems from a deeply personal experience: her sister Maroesja passed away from cervical cancer more than 30 years ago. This was in a time before HPV testing was standard. Had Maroesja been diagnosed earlier, her story might have ended differently.
This experience drives Jose to provide women with HPV the best possible care: a combination of early detection, active treatment, and strengthening the body's own self-healing capacity.
Jose herself had breast cancer 20 years ago. This experience also shaped her vision of health and illness and strengthened her conviction that the body possesses an enormous capacity for recovery when given the right support.
Education and specializations
Together with Kim, Jose traveled to America to learn the escharotic treatment method, a special way for the localized treatment of abnormal cells without scar tissue.
Jose treats, among other things:
- HPV and abnormal cells (CIN 1, 2, and 3)
- Supplementary support for cancer
- Nutrition and orthomolecular therapy
- Gut health (works with laboratories for intestinal mucosa analysis)
- Vitamin B12 treatment
- Genetic testing and interpretation

Registration
Jose is BIG-registered as a general practitioner (GP) and is a member of the AVIG (Association of Integrative Medicine Doctors).
Kim, Medical Assistant and co-owner
Kim is co-owner of HPV Health and works as a medical assistant. She has years of experience in general practice, specifically in practices that combine homeopathy and orthomolecular medicine with conventional care.
Kim is the first point of contact for patients and manages:
- Administration: All practical matters regarding your treatment process
- Calendar management: Scheduling appointments and check-ups
- Website and communication: Providing information for patients
- Patient guidance: Kim is ready to answer your questions and guide you through the treatment process
Together with Jose, Kim traveled to America to learn the escharotic treatment method. This collaboration forms the foundation of HPV Health.

Treatments take place at two locations: Huizen (Gooi) and Gieterveen (Drenthe). During the initial contact, we will discuss which location is most suitable for you.
